Linda Diane Nelli, resident of Arlington, Washington passed away on June 28, 2021 in her home at the age of 75 years. Linda is the daughter of David and Eloise Johnson and was born June 10, 1946 in Bellingham, WA. Linda was raised in Bellingham WA along with her brother Ronald and sister Myrna. It was in Bellingham that Linda met and married Gerald Hall. They had 3 boys Chris, Aaron and Les. Linda and Gerald were divorced and soon after she met the love of her life, Donald Nelli. Don and Linda were married Valentine’s Day February 14th, 1980. Don and Linda raised their family on Whidbey Island where Linda worked as a home health care giver and full-time mother. Don and Linda loved their family and took great joy in being active parents and grandparents that attended football games, softball games, dance recitals and school activities. Don and Linda moved to Arlington WA in the early 2000s and eventually became residents at the Vintage retirement apartments. They loved their time there and had many friends and enjoyed being able to watch their grandkids grow. Linda was very active in the retirement apartment community and was often found at coffee time, helping out with music day and taking part in organizing and participating in different activities. She loved getting her hair done in the beauty parlor and enjoyed being able to just visit with her friends. Linda was thankful for her oldest son Chris being willing to help her over the last few years to care for her and help her remain as independent as possible.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents David and Eloise Johnson, beloved husband Donald Nelli, and 2 children Gregory and Michelle. Family survivors include her siblings Ronald (Lila) Johnson, Myrna (Frank) Ruzicka, her sons Chris Hall, Aaron Hall, and Les Hall (Jennifer). She was blessed with 6 grandchildren Kelsey, Eloise, Bethany, Owen, Kayla, and Michael, and honorary daughter Samantha (Dave) Osburn and their children Amanda, Evelyn, Cecilia and Olivia. Linda was also blessed with many Nieces and Nephews whom she tried to keep in contact with.
In Lieu of a memorial service at this time, Linda’s sons will be making arrangements to have a small ceremony later in the fall or early spring when all 3 boys are able to get together to spread their parents’ ashes per their wishes.
