Kerry Gallo, loving husband, father, Gramps, G’pa, brother, friend..
Born in Vancouver, BC June 18, 1957 and moved to Seattle as a toddler, left us way too soon on May 7, 2023.
Kerry shared many stories of growing up in Seattle when a kid could ride a bus downtown, have a paper route and ride a bike through the zoo and Upper Woodland Park alone.
He treasured his many friendships from those early days and his school years, especially at Lincoln High School – so many great stories!
Our family will always remember hanging out at Ralph’s with a large group of friends, watching, (or our kids being in) the Wallingford Kiddie’s Parade.
Kerry was creative and hard working. Landing in construction, starting his own businesses before eventually working at King County, ( and a brief, but pleasant time at City of Bellevue) as a Building Inspector. He made some great friends and memories there as well.
He invented, patented, and made a business of an ostomy support belt after his own surgery in 1994.
As his health kept him home more he enjoyed creating complex fused, mosaic or stained glass art and made new friends with his hobby.
Kerry was the proudest of his daughters Tanyel, Hailey and Margaret, grandsons Kai and Sagen and granddaughter Olive. He often said the happiest times of his life were spending time with them and watching them grow up.
Kerry’s passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts and family. He is already deeply missed.
A celebration of his life is being organized by good friends Dave Swank, Dave Lindwall, and brother Vince.
Our gratitude to Continuum Hospice for their compassion, support and guidance through the transition.
Please share your memories/stories here for family and friends too.

June 2, 2023 at 4:24 amMelinda, I’m so sorry for your & your children’s & grandchildren’s loss. I always noticed Kerry was a very likeable fellow & was glad to see him at the family gatherings. I did not know how artistic & talented he was until Becky sent me a photo of his stained-glass piece of the cathedral, just yesterday. Amazing & gorgeous! Thinking of you with sympathy & love, Yvonne.

June 1, 2023 at 8:31 pmDry and acerbic wit – or as I express it, spicy. The world, our family especially, is a blander place without Kerry. He will be deeply missed. I’m very sad he could not make it to three score and 10.

May 30, 2023 at 12:42 pmKerry and I went to school together starting at BF Day through high school. Kerry loved making people laugh but was also a kind soul. My husband Larry Westling was part of the gang that was always at Ralph’s and he considered Gallo, as they all called him a very good friend. Kerry you are missed and sorry you left too soon. Our love and condolences to the Gallo family.

May 23, 2023 at 1:55 amAlthough not related, Gallo (as I always knew him), felt very much like an uncle to me. My father and him were close friends and so our families were very close. The knowledge of construction that he passed has helped me keep and maintain my home by myself for many years and I’ll be forever grateful. Kerry you are loved and missed dearly. My love and condolences to the Gallo family.
