Jerry Ann Monteza July 12th 1948 – August 29th, 2024
Jerry Ann Monteza passed away peacefully on August 29 th , 2024 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her former husbands and all but one of her many siblings. Survivedby one son (Fred Allen), 3 daughters (Michelle Stoa, Lutricia Rainwater and Tammy Reeves) and one sister, Geneva as well as 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Jerry Ann was born and raised in a small rural town in Missouri. She met and married her first husband, Arvin Allen, early in her life where she gained her son. They resided in Michigan where she gave birth to her first
Daughter in 1969. Arvin tragically passed away 2 ½ yrs later leaving Jerry a widow at the young age of 23.
A few years later she met and married her second husband, Thomas Reeves. They also resided in Michigan where she gave birth to her 2nd and 3rd daughters prior to the family relocating to Washington State in 1976.
Jerry was always known as a very hard-working woman. She worked in fields and factories early in life then obtained her Cosmetology License when she was in her early 30’s. However, she discovered that her true calling was being a caregiver so she pursued that career path instead becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and working in the healthcare field for 30+ years.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed time with her family the most. Attending family dinners, holiday celebrations and spending time with her grandchildren. Unfortunately, she developed dementia early in her 60’s which destroyed her brain function and memory for several years prior to her passing. We have been missing her for many years already.
A celebration of life will be held by her family on Saturday, October 26th in Lynnwood, WA.
