David James Boushee, age 63, passed away on December 17, 2024, at UW Northwest Hospital in Seattle, Washington after a short illness. David was born in Seattle to Michael and Elizabeth Boushee and grew up in Kirkland, Washington. He faced a lifetime of physical limitations caused by cerebral palsy, but always had a smile on his face. He loved music, video games, wrestling and his yearly trip to camp; but most of all he loved his family, and always looked forward to holidays and birthday gatherings. He spent the last 31 years in the care of Tahoma Hills, which provides assisted living to adult developmentally disabled persons. He became a part of their family, and he developed many friendships with his caregivers through the years.
David was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Michael Boushee, and his brother, Thomas Lee III. He is survived by his sister, Shelly (Cliff) O’Banion, brother, Wayne (Sherry) Boushee, and sister-in-law, Donna Lee; nephews, Thomas and Sean Lee and Chris
Boushee; nieces, Renee Christensen, Jamie Ripke, and Jessica Hamilton; and many great nieces and nephews.
