Lisa Therese Elliott McDowell March 18, 1966 - June 24, 2018

Lisa Therese Elliott McDowell of Marysville, Washington died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on June 24^th 2018. She was 52.

Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Robert McDowell of Marysville, six children, Megan Wright (Chad), Tyler McDowell, John Collins, Daniel Collins (Brianna), Kaitlin McDowell and Liam McDowell, sisters Susan Elliott Olson (Kurt) and Sheila Elliott Poteet, granddaughter Mayson Wright, mother-in-law Mary Ann McDowell, several nieces and nephews, and friends she considered to be family, including Jaci Sandifer and Ron and Stacy Collins.  Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ellen Elliott.

Lisa was born in Huntsville Alabama on March 18^th, 1966. She spent her childhood in Shoreline, Washington and graduated from Shoreline High School in 1985.  Lisa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She also worked as a paraprofessional for the Granite Falls School District where she positively impacted the lives of her students, their families, and staff members.  Lisa was an avid reader and prolific writer.  Her uncanny wit and wicked sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.

The loss of Lisa will be especially felt on Thanksgiving. Lisa’s Thanksgiving celebrations were warm and welcoming, filled with family, friends, football, and great food served on paper plates! If you knew Lisa, the invitation was implied. As her family, we will carry on this tradition in her honor.
