Allen Charles Jones December 23, 1946 - February 4, 2025

It is with a heavy heart we share Allen Jones passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on February 4th, 2025.

The 6th child of Gerald and Geneva, Allen Jones was brought into this world on a cold winter day December 23rd, 1946. His family lived in the Sandpoint, Idaho area where he spent much of his life and was well loved and respected by many.

In 1965, Allen enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served honorably during the Vietnam war.

After his time in the Navy Allen met Marsha Peak and later married her in June 1972. During their union they welcomed three children – Angie (Jason), Nikki (Clayton), and Andy (Leah), and through them six grandchildren: Alissa (Sean), Andrea (Brayden), Riley (Ashlie), Brandon, Liberty, and Logan, and two great-grandchildren: Anaya, and soon to arrive Jessie. As life progressed, Allen and Marsha went their separate ways, but he found a new love – Arlyn Schmoke Olson.

Allen and Arlyn wed in November 2000, which began a life full of laughter and adventure together for the next 24 years. Through their union he gained four bonus children: Todd, Christine (Mike), Ross, and Scott (Angie), and five more grandchildren: Christopher, Joshua, Jeff, Seaver and Silas. After their marriage, they resided in northwestern Washington, making new friends and enjoying each other’s company.

Throughout his 78 years, Allen spent 40 of them working at his own concrete business, where he was often praised as an artist of the craft. After retiring due to medical reasons, he still spent time working with his hands, crafting wooden creations that he loved to share with family and friends. Those that knew and loved him enjoyed his ornery sense of humor, his love of nature, and his gentle, sweet smile.

When he left this world, he was welcomed in Heaven by his Savior, and also reunited with his parents, and siblings Duane, Maggie, Patsy, and Loren, and son Ross. He is survived by his two sisters Babe (Naomi) and Kathy, his remaining children, grandchildren, and his loving wife.

He will be dearly missed, but we look forward to the day we can see him again.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1st , 2025, at 2:00 pm at The First Baptist Church of Arlington, 426 N French Ave, Arlington WA, 98223
