Daniel Loren Cooper, 66, of Louisville Kentucky and La Conner Washington, passed away on August 6, 2024.
Born on January 27, 1958 in Everett, he was the most devoted and loving Father to Alexandra “Alex” Cooper
Biscardi and her Husband Tommy Biscardi, and Nicholas “Nick” Cooper. There was not a day that went by that
Dan was not bragging and telling funny stories about Alex and Nick to his Sister Christi. Dan, “always a clown”
had quite the wonderful “dry” sense of humor which indeed took some getting used to.
Dan graduated from the University of Washington in 1980 as a theatrical major, and put his skills to good use
as Ronald McDonald for more than 15 years. Living in Hawaii, he represented Hawaii, Guam and Saipan, and
later moved to Louisville and represented Kentucky and Indiana. Dan loved all children and found great
pleasure in writing his own music, dances and skits to encourage children to get up and move, dance and be
silly. He so loved a crowd of children and their squeals of delight! Yes, Dan loved being in the limelight, not
for himself but for the children to show them they could excel at whatever they wanted to do.
A single father after losing his wife Sandra Jones-Cooper April 3, 2002, Dan devoted every moment he was not
performing to his two children, Alex and Nick. Breakfast each morning before school, walking or driving them
to school each day, and ensuring they had every thing they needed to excel, which they both did. Dan’s love
for animals, especially birds of prey, and entertaining children was shared with Alex and Nick daily and that will
never fade, living on in both of them.
Dan loved to cook and try new recipes. While in Oahu, Louisville, and the Pacific Northwest, he experimented
with all the local dishes, spices, and ingredients. He made wonderful dishes that we all loved!
Dan is survived by his Mother Erlene Cooper of Yakima, his Sister Christi King, his Brother-In-Law Chris King,
his beautiful children Alexandra Cooper Biscardi and her husband Tommy Biscardi of Louisville Kentucky, and
Nicholas Cooper of Lexington Kentucky. We all will miss him dearly, however are grateful that he has joined,
and is holding hands with, his wife Sandra, his Sister Tomme Lynne Cooper, his Father Ronald Loren Cooper,
and his Grandmother and Grandfather Pearl Cooper and Alex Cooper.
Thank you to everyone at Ebenezer Lutheran Church of Lake Stevens for all your prayers, as well as the
prayers from the Rotary Club of La Conner and all our friends and family. You were all such a comfort for us
during this challenging time. Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House, a cause so close to Dan’s
heart.
