Donna Lynn (Hass) Swagers
July 21, 1945 – September 30, 2021
Donna was born in Seattle Washington on July 21, 1945 to Don and Dolly Hass. Being the daughter of a Seattle fireman and legal secretary Donna would often spend her summer with her paternal grandmother in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Holy Rosary High School and went on to receive a bachelors in education from the University of Washington and in later years she earned a masters from Central Washington University and a doctorate from Seattle University.
She found her true calling as an educator. She spent 30+ years in education as a teacher, principal, director and mentor to many students, teachers, and families. Being an educator would take Donna to many different regions in Washington and as far as Warsaw, Poland. Donna’s time as an educator in Poland was the adventure of a lifetime.
Over the years Donna has enjoyed sailing, boating, riding motorcycles and being a member of various organizations. She especially loved her Harley dog.
She has been married to the love of her life Peter Swagers for 20+ years. In retirement they decided to reside on Camano Island and enjoy traveling in their motorhome.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Peter, son Chad (Laura) Hudson, her two grandsons Austin and Ryan Hudson.
