Duane Jack Butler
July 2nd 1929 to January 23rd 2019
Born July 2nd 1929 to Harold and Grace Butler, Duane was blessed with 89 years of great living.
He met the love of his life Doris, married in 1950 and enjoyed 63 years of life together before her passing in 2013. They were blessed with 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Duane worked for Skagit Valley & General Telephone Company for 20 years, was a Real Estate Broker and provided Physical Therapy Services in his later years.
Duane took great pride serving as a volunteer firefighter for Conway Fire Department for over 30 years, approximately 5 years as chief. In addition he also served 15 years as a beloved Boy Scout leader of the powerhouse, award winning troop 56.
Duane loved his family, loved the outdoors but if truth be told his greatest love was probably hunting & fishing!
He is preceded in death by his wife Doris. Survived by Vickie (daughter) & Brent Campbell, Tiffany Campbell, Janine, Kevin, Mesa & Jaycee Schmoll. Gary (son) & Tracy Butler, Brittany, Aaron & Holden Stinner, Briana & Shane Rudolph, Mackenzie Butler, Riley Butler. Brad (son) & Shawn Butler, Kristen Butler, Megan, Nick, Camden & Millie Salsbury. Barry (son) Butler, Chelsea, Eric, Kennedy, Cade & Reece Carlson, Travis Butler.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Conway Fire Hall Saturday February 2nd at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Conway Fire Department.
