Eleanor (Ellie) Irene Rukas, Anderson, McGowan, Burham, Anderson.
Born August 16, 1936, Sequim, WA and passed at home, June 02, 2021. Sequim was home for Ellie’s childhood years. Her teen and early adult years were spent in the greater Seattle area. Graduate of Garfield High School, 1954. Retired from Swedish Hospital, Seattle.
Ellie was a longtime resident of the Index River Community. She had a high respect for Mother Nature. She was very protective of the environment and did not have a problem voicing her concerns if she saw any problems. Ellie loved the natural beauty of the river, mountains, and forest. They bought her peace, strength, and comfort. Friends and family were always welcome to her home. Survived by her son, Brooke (Autumn) and sisters, Carolyn and Jean (Mike), and multiple nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Evergreen Hospice for their gentle and supportive care and the Monroe Senior Center for their understanding, advice, and support over the years.
