Glenn Gray (56) of Granite Falls, Washington, passed away at home on December 4, 2024, with family at his side. He fought a long and courageous battle of an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer. Glenn was born on October 6, 1968, to his parents, Tom and Audrey Gray. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, boss, father, papa and friend to all who knew him.
Glenn began working at an early age for his father’s business, Glen’s Home Center in Granite Falls. He soon found his interest and passion working on small engines in the saw shop division.
After marrying his longtime girlfriend, Sherri [Hills] in March of 1990, the two purchased Glen’s Saw Shop. Glenn became the 3rd generation owner of the family corporation, Glen’s Welding and Machine. The pair steadily added a full rental yard to the business and began their family. Sherri was his biggest supporter and partner while raising their girls. Kylee was born in July of 1994 and Krista in August of 1997. Glenn was a natural father and took pride in his girls. Though devoting many hours to his business, he never faltered loving and teaching his family. He enjoyed the outdoors in any free time. Being a home body, he enjoyed and took pride in yardwork and home projects as well as woodworking, fishing, hunting, and camping. He had a natural ability in all he did.
Glenn possessed a strong work ethic consisting of no-nonsense, honest repair work and sales. Over 35 years, the business grew with many changes. It then changed again, with Glenn operating just as he had begun his career, in Glen’s Saw Shop at the original location where his grandfather began in 1947 on Alder Street. He loved serving his community and his customers, many who became friends and colleagues. He valued his business, all of the people he met along the way, and remained humble.
After stepping away from the business he loved this last year, Glenn was able to enjoy special times with family and friends. He was able to attend his youngest daughter, Krista’s, wedding on October 5th , 2024. He felt so much happiness walking Krista down the aisle as family celebrated a beautiful day of love. Glenn leaves behind his wife of over 34 years, Sherri; daughter, Kylee and her husband, Jacob, and grandsons, Bowen (5) and Beckett (3); daughter, Krista, and her husband, Austin. Glenn is also survived by his parents and brother, Gary. Glenn will be missed by so many. His kind heart and soul will forever be remembered, along with many special memories and laughs.

that is what they are for.”

grief is the price we pay for love.”

the memory becomes a treasure.”
