Kevin Henry Buhman, 59 of Marysville, WA. died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at home after a long illness with his family by his side. Kevin was born July 27, 1963 in Oelwein, IA. The son of Carol (Reiner) and Darwin Buhman. As a child, he lived in Oelwein graduating from Oelwein Community high school in 1982.
After high school, Kevin lived in Guttenberg, IA. prior to moving to southern California. He was united in marriage with Lynette Drake in 1993 and has one daughter, Mariah, they later divorced. After being in California for five years, he moved back to Iowa and in 2002 his final move was to Marysville Washington.
Kevin was a skilled welder and fabricator building fire trucks, and in Washington found his passion working at Pacific Skiff Boats building ocean sport fishing boats.
He loved life on the Mississippi river, boating, water skiing, and fishing. His other passions included, flying his airplane, drumming in a band, music, building anything, crabbing, shrimping, and hunting with his daughter. When he was no longer able to work, he began sewing.
Kevin is survived by his daughter Mariah Buhman, 3 grandchildren; Alaina, Jace, and Zoey of East Dubuque, twin brother Kendall Buhman, Marysville, sisters Cheri (Ron) Reisner, Guttenberg and Sue Buhman, Kansas City, nieces and nephews; Dustin, Lindie, Jonathon, Michael, Steven, Daniel, Greg, Eric and 18 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Carol Buhman and brother, Rodney Buhman.
There will be a celebration a life held for Kevin at a later date in Iowa.
