Kristyn (Kay)Elizabeth Edwards Kay was born July 12, 1996 in Evanston, WY. She moved to Marysville, WA when she was 4,
where she resided until her death, January 24, 2021.
From a very young age, everyoneshe met was a friend. She would meet someone, and 10 minutes after meeting them, want them to come home with her, as they were her new best friend.
Kay’s love and concern for family, friends and even strangers says everything about who Kay was. She always had a warm smile and kind word for everyone she encountered. Everyone knew they could call her anytime, and she would be there to help with whatever you needed, even just a listening ear. She had a true heart of gold, and a passion to be that one true friend. Kay’s love and concern for all, prevented her from asking for or accepting help herself until it was too late. PLEASE, if you need help, reach out to your family and friends, ask for help and accept their help.
Kay was met at heaven’s gates by: Grandma Shirley Edwards, Grandma Anna Boersema, and Grandma Ginny Boersema (withwhom she shared a very special bond).
She is survived by: her partner and best friend, Sam Yahoudy: her mom and dad, Deb and Eric Harper; her father (DaddyO) Matt Edwards; her grandparents: Dave Boersema, John and Kate Edwards and Margaret Wilson. She also leaves behind countless Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear friends.
Kay treasured her family, friends, art, animals and nature. She had a
way of listening to you, and making you feel loved, valued and supported, even as she was battling her own pain and hurt.
Fly free Beautiful Girl! I love YOU
