Margaret Frances Coffman, of Arlington, passed away on August 12, 2020, at the age of 85. She was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on November 3, 1934. She was raised in Salt Lick, Kentucky until her teen years when her family moved to California. She graduated from Whittier High School in 1952. On a graduation trip to Seattle, Washington she met the love of her life, Howard E. Coffman, and they married in 1953. He proceeded her in death in 1965. In 1969 she moved to Arlington to get back to her country roots.
Margaret loved to garden, camp, bowl, travel, attend her TOPS meetings, church, and to spend time with her family and friends. For several years she worked for Boeing in Everett, Washington as an aeromechanic. Margaret was an ‘Incredible’ working on the first 747. She was also the first woman on her crew and blazed the way for many after her.
Her life was a living example of kindness and love with a big dose of spunkiness! Margaret was always up for an adventure, even climbing Mt. Fuji in Japan on a trip to visit family in 1991.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Karen and husband John; son Jon and wife Angela; grandchildren Shawn, David, Danny, and Ashley; great grandchildren Kat and Kailyn; plus many family members and dear friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
