Robert Alan Richards
March 19, 1931 – December 13, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2023.
Bob loved living on the “farm” and running Swinging R Ranch. At one time or other, there were cows, chickens, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs and cats, also u-pick blueberries, raspberries and a vegetable garden, and lots of canning and preserving that has been handed down throughout the family. The Swinging R legacy will continue to carry on.
Bob was known as “Grandpa” by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their individual friends, to his children and their friends he was “Dad” and also “Farmer Bob” to a multitude.
Everyone who met him would remark to one of the family: “I want him”, or “I want to be just like him at that age”, or “No way he’s out tractoring, hammering, fixing, repairing … “. We all nodded and said we were happy to share him.
He was very loved and touched many lives. He will be greatly missed.

When I think of family members that have passed, I can see them having a great time. Remember those big celebrations we all had together? They are having them without us now.
We miss them and feel lonely, but we will be at those big family gatherings
